What is Russia doing ?

You wonder how many people are naive enough to think that Russia sent troops in Georgia in order to maintain peace ? You would be shocked to find out the numbers . Like , come on , what super-power in the world is interfering in other small countries state affairs without having hidden reasons ?

I have mixed feelings regarding Russia . In World War II they stood against the german "war machine " and were successful in driving them back and even forcing them to capitualate . After the war ended they ruled with an iron fist over half of Europe . There are still countries from which the Russians haven't yet retreated . The hard truth is that where russian boots walk you can be pretty sure that they wont leave too soon . Russia is the largest country in the world and posses many natural resources , but a bit more control over the energetic industry of the world can't hurt , right ?

Well , this is the real reason why they are in Georgia . Tbilisi made a double big mistake : first , they agreed to let two large pipelines ( oil and natural gas) cross their territory , which the leaders from Kremlin consider this to be competition for their gas pipelines direct toward Europe . Second big mistake is that Georgia wants to join NATO . Turning backs against mother Russia was a bad move . This last move that Georgia made , ignited a flame in the hearts of the Rulers of Siberia . Learning from USA Administration, Russia sent troops in Georgia with the mean to bring peace . As the saying goes , the purpose excuses the means , Russia came , conquered and by the power of an armistice they now have the control over half of the country which includes the pipelines .

Could it be just a coincidence ? My opinion is clear . When stakes are so high , coincidence , luck or faith have nothing to do with the result .

I aspect you're opinions regarding the real reasons why Russia attacked Georgia in the first place and why it still didn't retreated it's troops .
